Inactivated vaccine against adenovirus infections

Inactivated vaccine against adenovirus infections

The combined vaccine against Hydropericardium Syndrome (HPS) and Fowl Adenovirus Type E is designed to prevent diseases caused by these viruses in breeder, broiler, and layer flocks. A single subcutaneous or intramuscular injection helps induce effective immunity in poultry. Compliance with the recommended storage conditions and administration instructions is essential to achieve optimal results.

Product Introduction
  • Vaccine Composition: The vaccine is prepared from a suspension of liver tissue from chicks infected with the Hydropericardium Syndrome virus (KP-95 strain) and a suspension of liver tissue from SPF chicken embryos infected with Fowl Adenovirus Type E.

  • Target Species: The vaccine is developed and manufactured for use in commercial poultry farms to prevent infections caused by Hydropericardium Syndrome virus and Fowl Adenovirus Type E in breeder, broiler, and layer chickens.

  • Immunogenicity: The vaccine induces an immune response against Hydropericardium Syndrome virus in birds within 28 days after vaccination, providing immunity for up to 9 months.

  • Administration: The vaccine is administered as a single 0.5 mL dose, either subcutaneously into the middle third of the neck or intramuscularly into the breast muscle.

  • Adverse Effects: The vaccine does not cause any adverse effects in poultry. In some cases, mild swelling may occur at the injection site, which resolves spontaneously within 2–3 weeks.

  • Evaluation of Immunity: Vaccination is considered successful if, in at least 80% of vaccinated birds, the mean ELISA antibody titer against the Hydropericardium Syndrome pathogen is at least twice the minimum positive threshold specified in the diagnostic kit instructions.

  • Precautions for Vaccinators:
All personnel involved in vaccination must wear protective clothing, such as coveralls or a coat, boots, and a cap or other head covering. They must also use appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety goggles and a suitable mask. First-aid kits must be available at the workplace.

After handling the viral vaccine, hands must be thoroughly washed with soap and water. In the event of a vaccine spill, the contaminated area must be disinfected with 5% chloramine solution or 2% sodium hydroxide solution.

Individuals experiencing symptoms of respiratory, gastrointestinal, skin, or allergic diseases must not participate in the vaccination procedure.

In the event of accidental injection into a human, clean the injection site with 70% ethanol and consult a physician.

  • Precautions for Use: Poultry may be slaughtered for meat consumption 20 days after vaccination.

  • Shelf Life: 12 months.

  • Storage Conditions: The vaccine must be stored and transported at a temperature of 2–8°C and protected from light. Freezing is prohibited.
